Giorgio Bonelli was born in Milan, Italy, on September 29th 1953.
He graduated from the Liceo Classico Beccaria, the philosophical high school, and later he went to the Universities of Milan and Rome, where he successfully attended the courses of ancient and modern Literature, Philosophy and History of art.
His father Giovanni was a well known Italian writer of comics books; his brother Sergio, 20 years older, is the general manager of the family publishing company, the “Bonelli Editore spa”, leader since more than forty years of the Italian market in the comics field. After an experience in the family company, Giorgio founded a television and movies production company, “Condor Cinematografica”, which for seven years produced programs mostly for the Italian television network. Meanwhile, in 1980, he founded a real estate company, “Coronado”, specialized in refurbishing and trading of luxurious apartments in the historical “palazzi” of northern Italy, a successful experience that took him closer to the real estate field.
At the end of the 80s, because of the economical crisis that almost stopped any construction activity in Italy, he decided to move abroad, taking his permanent residence in “Principaute’ de Monaco”, where he still lives.
During a visit to Czech Republic, in 1991, he decided to found a real estate company specialized in the refurbishment and development of the neglected but still wonderful palaces in the historical centre of Prague. After more than 18 years of activity, the company, “Jana Investments”, is one of the most reputed in Prague and had the chance to purchase and develop over 200.000 square meters of buildings space predominantly in the historical centre of Prague. Jana Investments manages and coordinates all the necessary activities from building acquisition up to complete refurbishment. Using Italian and Czech in-house architects and building engineers, it is able to realize the full potential of a property; that is to get the best economical target without renouncing to the highest possible quality.
Most of the construction works are done by the building company Jana Stav sro, established and totally owned by Bonelli to guarantee the maximum quality of construction details.
